Happy Heart Day!

The snow is finally melting away and we are expecting warmer weather this week. When I awoke this morning, the sun was shining and I could hear the swish, swish of cars passing on wet streets. There was the drip, drip, drip of melting snow. I padded downstairs to make Valentines and the sun was streaming brightly through the baking kitchen windows spreading warmth all around the kitchen. It was nothing short of glorious. I grabbed an appropriate apron.

Lucy was my helper today.

We gathered some ingredients and sweet, pretty goodies.

We made Red Velvet cupcakes for John.

And, truffles for all my other Valentines.

Have a sweet, sweet heart day.

  10. You and your helper knocked yourselves out for Valentine's Day!

    BEDTIME?

    A woman who always saw red,
    Could not get it out of her head;
    Her dreams were red-hot,
    Although she was not
    Exactly Miss Scarlett in bed.
