One of my sweet, sweet short friends, Anna, needed a costume for her school production this last month. She custom ordered a Rebecca of the Bible costume. Brown and blue with glittery trim. Accuracy was not necessarily the crucial design motivation as much as looking just like she wanted so she would feel confident on stage reciting quite the long story of Rebecca and Isaac.
Anna's costume also doubled as this year's Halloween costume. She looked sweet and relished in trick-or-treating with the big girls.
The sewing room also was the place of creation for a bunch of grapes and a Victorian china doll. There were some late nights this past week, but I love sewing for this holiday, for these girls of mine.
