Reading, Writing, and Snowing

I am now two weeks into the semester. It has been a good, and very, very busy, nine days of school. The kids returned to school a week earlier.

We had kept our promise to ourselves to take a real break, be with our kids, sleep, rest, and renew over our very short holiday break.

It was extremely cold when we prepared to head back to school. Holiday decorations were still hung as it was too frigid to brave.

The girls were excited about new classes,  and I was worrying about all the projects that lay ahead of me this semester.

Two days into the semester, the cold turned, it warmed a bit and we awoke to no school and lots of fresh white snow.

Papa came by, the girls bundled up, and the girls were off for sledding, chicken noodle soup and brownies at Mimi and Papa's.

  1. Snow days are the best for students and teachers. Did you get a snow day too?
